The process

During Brainspotting, I will guide you to focus your eyes on a specific point, called a "brainspot," which correlates with the emotional or physical sensations you're experiencing.

The theory behind Brainspotting is that by focusing your visual attention on these brainspots, you can access deeper parts of your brain where trauma and unresolved emotions are stored. This allows you to tap into your body's natural healing processes and release tension, emotions, and memories associated with the trauma.

What makes Brainspotting unique is its ability to bypass the cognitive mind and access the deeper, subconscious parts of the brain where trauma is often stored. This can lead to profound insights, emotional release, and healing that may not be achieved through traditional talk therapy alone.

Who is Brainspotting for?

  • Individuals who have experienced trauma, such as physical or emotional abuse, accidents, or combat.

  • Those struggling with anxiety, chronic stress, or stress related conditions such as PTSD or CPTSD.

  • Those experiencing difficulties with emotional regulation or processing emotions.

  • Individuals seeking relief from chronic pain or somatic symptoms with an emotional component.

  • Individuals looking for a therapy approach that accesses deeper, subconscious levels of the brain to promote healing.

  • Those who have tried traditional talk therapy but haven't found significant relief from their symptoms.

  • Anyone interested in a gentle yet powerful therapeutic approach that honors the body's innate healing abilities.

  • You will experience a sense of relief as you process and release deep-seated emotions tied to past traumas or challenges.

  • You may find clarity about situations that may have previously felt overwhelming or confusing.

  • As you gain insight into your experiences and develop a better understanding of yourself, you will feel more empowered and resilient to handle life's ups and downs with confidence.

  • You will be equipped with more effective coping mechanisms to manage stress, anxiety, and other difficult emotions.

  • As you work through past traumas and emotional barriers, you may find that your relationships with others improve and that your connections and communication deepen.

  • As your body releases the long held tension of your trauma you will feel more at ease and relaxed.

  • Your confidence will build allowing you to finally work towards creating the life you want.
